This series of paintings combines the analog and the digital to create a visual expression prompted by the spiritual practice in Don Miguel Ruiz ‘s book, The Four Agreements and his four principles to achieve love and happiness. I was so inspired by this book to create these works. The repetition of the mantras transforms the text into a visual form driven by urban decay, making life decisions, and moments in transit. I utilize an image transfer technique that creates a unique texture and depth in the work and allows me to integrate my digital drawings into the painting.
